    Cause analysis and countermeasures of hydrographic defects in hot rolled pickling plate of oriented silicon Steel#br#

    In view of the water print defects on the surface of common oriented silicon steel during the secondary pickling process, the defect types were determined by means of the analysis of the microcosmic characteristics of the defects and the elemental analysis of the energy spectrum in the defect area, and the causes were determined according to the analysis of the production correlative factors. The results showed that the roughness difference on the surface after secondary pickling was the direct cause of hydrographic defects. Production correlation analysis showed that the residual amount of iron oxide in the adsorbed area of corrosion inhibitor was related to the concentration of corrosion inhibitor in acid solution. The defect rate of the pickling water imprint was reduced from 18.73 % to 0 % by draining acid tank and circulating tank and reducing acid temperature at the initial stage of pickling plan.

    In this paper, high-speed dynamic machining technology was adopted to explore the influence law of machining surface roughness of high grade silicon steel tensile specimen. The surface response surface method was adopted to design the test, and a prediction model was established. The variance analysis method was used to test the model, and the influencing factors of machining surface roughness were analyzed combined with high-speed dynamic machining theory.The experimental results showed that the spindle speed and its square term had the greatest influence on the roughness of the machined surface, followed by the axial cutting depth, and finally the feed per tooth and its interaction with the spindle speed. The machined surface prediction model established had a high accuracy, which provided a reference for the actual machining production. According to the actual processing conditions, response surface design and dynamic processing theory can be applied to the efficient processing of tensile specimens of other materials.

    Cause analysis of edge spalling of backup roll in single stand cold rolling mill

    A thorough analysis was made to find out the reason of the spalling in the process of producing silicon steel with single stand mill. The analysis showed that the main reasons for the spalling of the roll were work hardening, contact fatigue, insufficient chamfer design at the side of the roll and insufficient grinding amount. Combined with the actual production, the reasonable use and maintenance methods and preventive measures were put forward.

    The quality of the grain-oriented silicon steel coil is directly related to the steel's yield. According to the slippage of the coiling tail of the hot-rolled base material of the oriented silicon steel produced by a steel plant, the main reasons for the occurrence were analyzed. With measures such as the adjustment of the lag rate and the adjustment of the center line of the finishing rolling, the tail coil shape of the grain-oriented silicon steel has been greatly improved.

    The measuring principle and application of the tension meter in the acid continuous rolling mill of the cold rolling silicon steel plant in Shanxi Taigang Stainless Steel Co., Ltd. were introduced in this paper. The tension meter was not stable in actual production, which caused frequent failures. In order to ensure the stability of the measurement accuracy of the tension meter, targeted improvement measures were proposed for the failure points of the tension meter, which have obvious effects in the use process.

    As an important iron based raw material in industrial production, pure iron has been widely used at home and abroad because of its excellent performance. Research institutions and production enterprises at home and abroad attach great importance to the development of pure iron purification. In this paper, the regulations of different types of pure iron in China were given, the main smelting methods of industrial pure iron in production and the research results of ultra-high purity iron preparation by researchers at home and abroad were introduced. The technological processes of large-scale production of industrial pure iron by domestic enterprises such as Tisco, Ansteel and Xingtai Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. were analyzed, and the industrial pure irons produced by Chinese enterprises and JFE company in Japan were compared and analyzed. The development trend of high purification of pure iron was pointed out. With the development of electroslag remelting technology and space electrophoresis purification technology, the high purification of pure iron has injected new vitality.

    A 20 high Sendzimir mill in Silicon Steel Department of Wuhan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. was retrofitted with Hib Technology In 2016.After that the overcurrent fault of the Sendzimir mill's main drive rectifier occasionally happened in the steel break braking process after high speed rolling.  The structure of the mill's main drive system and the control strategy for steel break braking were introduced in this paper. With the principle of energy feedback rectifier, the cause of overcurrent in the braking process was analyzed and solved eventually.

    The structure characteristics and working principle of the dividing combining  valve were introduced, and the reasons for the short service life of the dividingcombining valve in the pressure plate lifting hydraulic circuit of MIEBACH laser welding machine of the APL normal pickling unit were analyzed in detail. The analysis results showed that the rated flow of the original design of the dividingcombining valve could not meet the actual flow on site, and the valve core had a large impact when it worked, and the frequent action impact caused the valve core to be broken and damaged. The problem could not be solved by adjusting other hydraulic valves in the hydraulic circuit,so the dividing combining valve was upgraded according to the actual flow and working pressure, which not only ensured the normal lifting action of the welding press plate, but also completely solved the problem of short service life of the dividingcombining valve.

    Hitachi Metals is the world's largest manufacturer of amorphous ribbons and renamed as Proterial in 2023. In this paper, the development of Hitachi metals’ amorphous ribbon was reviewed. The process features of single furnace production and continuous multi-furnaces production were compared. In the process of continuous multi-furnaces production, the realizable continuous casting and coiling can greatly enhance the production efficiency and yield, but require high stability of production equipment and process control. Furthermore the development of new products, new application field and new standards about amorphous ribbons were also introduced. The new production HB1M with high saturation induction and magnetic domain controlled low iron loss Fe-based amorphous alloys “MaDC-ATM”can effectively reduce the core loss. A recycling plant to handle the amorphous metal cores used in amorphous transformers was established. The recyclings are used as raw materials for amorphous ribbons to achieve low production cost and recycling of products. They also expand in other areas of application such as amorphous motor, amorphous block core for solar power generation and Ni-based amorphous brazing materials.

    The relationship between strip shape and strip deviation was obtained by analyzing the force of rolled hard strip steel running on the roll surface of the annealing line and combining with the actual silicon steel sheet shape cold rolled on the six-high reversible rolling mill of Masteel. And then according to the actual situation of silicon steel production line in a steel mill and the correlation analysis between the sheet shape and the deviation, effective measures to reduce the deviation of the annealing line were formulated. These measures were playing a key role in deviation control combined with the roll system reform of the annealing line and the improvement of the deviation correction ability.

    Using the existing grain-oriented silicon steel hot-rolled sheet as the initial material, the effects of different normalization processes on the microstructure of the grain-oriented silicon steel normalized sheet were comparatively studied by metallographic microscopy. The results showed that the original strip structure of oriented silicon steel was obviously reduced after regularization, and the grains were obviously enlarged and coarsened, especially the grain size of ferrite in the surface layer reached 34 μm, and the normalized plate structure of oriented silicon steel was beneficial to improve subsequent cold rolling and decarburization processes.

    The influence factors of the transverse thickness difference of cold rolled silicon steel were studied in this paper. Using the research method of 6 Sigma, the DOE experiment scheme was designed, and the regression model of the thickness difference and four variables were obtained. The optimal value of the thickness difference was obtained by optimizing the variables in the model. On the premise of meeting customers’ requirements of the thickness difference, the intermediate roll shifting and roll profile can be optimized according to the average crown of hot rolling, so as to reduce the amount of cold rolling trimming, avoid the waste of trimming and improve the comprehensive yield of silicon steel.

    The effect of annealing temperature after cold rolling on the microstructure, texture evolution and magnetic properties of 0.5 % Si non-oriented silicon steel was investigated under laboratory conditions. The results showed that the increase of the annealing temperature from 675 ℃ to 725 ℃ was conducive to the increase of the recrystallization rate , and the recrystallization was completed at 725 ℃. The average grain size was increased from 18.2 μm to 40.2 μm with the increase of annealing temperature from 725 ℃ to 850 ℃. Therefore, P1.5/50 was decreased from 10.4 W/kg to 4.5 W/kg with the increase of annealing temperature from 675 ℃ to 850 ℃. When the annealing temperature increased from 675 ℃ to 725 ℃, the magnetic induction increased gradually due to the increase of recrystallization rate. By contrast, with the increase of annealing temperature from 725 ℃ to 850 ℃, the volume fraction of {111} grains was increased from 35.8 % to 40.4 %, and the beneficial {001} and that of the Goss grains was decreased from 14.8 % to 12.8 %, thus reducing B50 from 1.76 T to 1.74 T. Therefore, It is necessary to select the appropriate annealing temperature to obtain the properties of lower iron loss and higher magnetic induction.

    Grain-oriented silicon steel is a kind of iron-silicon binary alloy widely used in electrical equipment manufacturing industry. It needs special properties such as low iron loss, high magnetic induction intensity, low magnetic aging, good punching performance and high surface quality. Its production processes and equipments are complex, and its chemical composition is strictly controlled. According to the production processes and performances, it is mainly divided into ordinary grain-oriented silicon steel (CGO) and high magnetic induction grain-oriented silicon steel (HiB). Starting from the product requirements of grain-oriented silicon steel, the latest production progresses of domestic and foreign enterprises such as Japan's Kawasaki Steel and Nippon Steel, China's Baowu Steel and Shougang Corporation were introduced, and the technological processes and quality control points of this type of steel  were discussed, and the key production technology of grain-oriented silicon steel were  emphatically introduced. Finally, six new processes for producing grain-oriented silicon steel, including thin slab continuous casting and rolling, asynchronous rolling, magnetic domain refinement, production without traditional inhibitor, double grain-oriented silicon steel and magnetic field annealing, were discussed. The new technologies of silicon steel looked forward to the development trend of grain-oriented silicon steel.
