Abstract: The reliability of chemical industry shielding pump was studied through Failure Mode Effects and Critically Analysis （FMECA） technology in this paper，from the angles of chemical pump’s structure, failure mode and failure cause analysis, failure effect and severe degree, detecting methods, design improvements, the adopted compensation measures analysis and hazard analysis. It is also introduced the requirements of the electrical steel application technology for the shielded motor from the design and manufacture.
