Abstract: The temperature effects on the properties of intermediate frequency thingauge nonoriented silicon steel, especially on the magnetic and mechanical properties of the silicon steel of 0.25 mm thickness in the temperature range from -40 ℃ to 200 ℃ and the frequency of 400 Hz and 1 000 Hz,were investigated based on the practical working conditions. The results showed that the iron loss and magnetic induction of 0.25 mm thick intermediate frequency thingauge nonoriented silicon steel, decreased with the increase of temperature, and the yield strength decreased monotonously with the increase of temperature, while the tensile strength firstly decreased and then increased with an inflection point near 150 ℃.
