Abstract: In the highspeed continuous casting, the cooling intensity of the secondary cooling zone is large, and the heat transfer uniformity is higher. It is closely related to the highspeed droplet formation and migration behavior of the internal mixing atomizing nozzle. Increasing the cooling uniformity and cooling strength of the nozzle can improve the quality of the cast slab for high speed continuous casting. Based on previous studies, this paper summarizes the heat transfer mechanism between the atomized droplets and the surface of the high temperature slab and the influencing factors of the atomization effect of the internal atomizing nozzle, and proposes the research direction for the subsequent studies.
