Abstract: This paper calculates heat dissipation and the inner and outside surface temperature of three different framework of tundish cover by the related theory of heat transfer, the lining which has small coefficient of thermal conductivity is propitious to preserve heat and to reduce the surface temperature of tundish cover，that would increase the service life of steel structure. The calculating method afford a theoretical basis for choosing lining of tundish cover.
