Abstract: Dust and mud conglomeration were confected with carbon reducer in dust and mud containing iron, which could self-deoxidize. Ferric and zinc oxide were self-deoxidized in existing equipments, which would not affect steel-making. During the process, the torpedo lining corrosion were found. The research based on the problem of corrosion on torpedo lining caused by dust and mud pellets were carried out. The main reason for influencing the torpedo service life was the interaction of slag flow and hot water flow. Now the original process was changed by adding a turning slag process. After that the slags in torpedo will be decreased, the contact time and area between slags and torpedo lining will also be reduced. And the capacity of the torpedoes will be increased at the meantime.
