Abstract: A study was conducted on the application of water-soluble silicon steel sheet paint in hydrogenerator, with key performance indicators such as paint film appearance, degree of curing, adhesion, electrical resistance, breakdown voltage, oil resistance, water resistance, and hot-press shrinkage rate being verified within the factory setting. Additionally, practical engineering applications were validated on real machines in terms of lamination and iron loss temperature rise. The results indicated that all performance indicators of the water-soluble silicon steel sheet paint meet technical standards and operational requirements. The application of water-soluble silicon steel sheet paint to the fan-shaped sheets of hydrogenerator stator core is reliable in performance, feasible in technology, and environmentally friendly.
