Abstract: The energy efficiency grades of transformers have been generally improved as the formal implementation of the transformer new energy efficiency standard (GB 20052-2020), which also promotes the improvement of the grade of grain oriented electrical steels. Material selections of electrical steels were suggested in this paper combined with the new energy efficiency standard and according to the application performance of Baosteel's low loss grain oriented electrical steel products. And the existing problems in the use of the products were also analyzed.It is expected to provide reference for transformer manufacturers in the selection and use of silicon steels.
