Insulating coatings for environment-friendly, low-chromium grain-oriented silicon steel were prepared by wire rod roller coating technology and heat treatment process, using ammonium molybdate to replace chromic anhydride. The effects of different amounts of ammonium molybdate and ammonium chromate on the stability of the insulating coating solution and the microstructure, adhesion, hardness, and corrosion resistance of the insulating coating for grain-oriented silicon steel were studied. The results showed that the replacement of chromic anhydride with ammonium molybdate can improve the wettability of the coating solution and improve the moisture resistance and corrosion resistance of the insulating coating for the grain-oriented silicon steel. When the amount of ammonium molybdate was 1.5 % and chromic anhydride was 1.5 %, the wettability of the coating solution and the wetting resistance of the coating powder were both the best, causing the best surface quality, adhesion, and corrosion resistance of the coating.

Based on research of laser scribed grain-oriented silicon steel, the surface layer damage behavior of grain-oriented silicon steel was studied in this paper. It is showed that the surface layer of grainoriented silicon steel was composed of 1.5 μm insulation layer and 2.5 μm magnesium silicate bottom layer, and the scirbing line with micro-holes composed of bare iron matrix and Mg2SiO4 was formed after laser scribing treatment. In case of low scribing power, the scrbing line formed with a light intermittent mark with a diameter of 50 μm, and no effective scribing line was formed. In addition, the energy and action time of laser light source increased with the increasing of scribing power and reducing the scribing frequency and speed, but the amount of bare iron matrix and Mg2SiO4 and the density of micro-holes inside the scribing line increased, which is harmful to the insulation and corrosion resistance corrosion resistance performance of the product.

The refining and deep desulfurization process of ultra-low sulphur industrial pure iron was studied in this paper. The desulfurization experiments were conducted in LF and RH furnaces, comparing the desulfurization effects under different conditions and analyzing the experimental results from thermodynamic and kinetic aspects. It was found that industrial pure iron undergoes LF furnace refining to form slag for desulfurization, resulting in low content of unstable oxides (FeO+MnO) in the slag, high alkalinity of the slag, good fluidity, and significant desulfurization effect. By using the LF furnace refining and desulfurization process, the sulfur content of industrial pure iron products can reach a level within 0.001 0 %.

Annealing is one of the key processes in heat treatment processes of non-oriented silicon steels. Some processing parameters of annealing, such as heating rate, annealing temperature, holding time, protective atmosphere and cooling rate, can be varied to affect the formation and evolution of non-oriented silicon steels’ microstructure, texture and precipitated phase. Therefore, reasonable annealing process is very important to influence the properties of non-oriented silicon steels. Previous researches on annealing process of non-oriented silicon steels were summarized and analyzed in this paper, concerning the influences of heating rate, annealing temperature and holding time to non-oriented silicon steels’ microstructure, texture and magnetic properties, which were aimed to support references to the manufacturing of high-quality non-oriented silicon steel.

At present, because of no technological parameter of the cold rolled silicon steel rewinding process mapping with the strip length, the existing technology is unable to view the processing parameters of the unit length of strip steel, unable to get the strip length position in the previous process corresponding to the length value of the unit length, and unable to provide a prerequisite for the length traceability in subsequent cross process. A coil tracking method for cold rolled silicon steel rewinding was introduced in this paper. The L1 first-level process parameter information and L2 second-level production information are processed, and then according to the length relationship between the uncoiler and the coiler, the length mapping of the coil can be formed after processing, that is, the length of the sub-coil after the rewinding process can be traced back to the length of the coil in the previous process. The length information is mapped to L1 process parameter to form digital coil, which can realize the coil tracking of the cold rolled silicon steel rewinding.

A remote debugging requirements in silicon steel quality system was profiled in this paper, and Visual Studio's remote debugger was selected as the debugging tool. Then the principles of remote debugging, environmental configuration options, and the configuration and usage steps for the server and development machine were introduced. Starting out from the basic principles of welding, the resistances in the welding loop of the narrow lap welding machine were categorized into stable resistance and unstable resistance, which were detailed analyzed in this paper. It was pointed out that the main factors affecting the resistance in the welding loop of the narrow lap welding machine are the surface quality of the welding wheel, the pressure of the welding wheel, the height of the welding wheel, the track of the welding carriage, the flatness of the welding clamp, the material of the strip steel, the strip plate type, the cleanliness of the steel plate and the amount of lap etc. These factors will cause obvious variations in the resistance of the welding area, thus influencing the quality of the weld. Further suggestions concerning daily equipment maintenance and management were also given.
