Abstract: In order to study the microstructure and texture of the hot rolled plate of non-oriented silicon steel 50W600 containing Sn and Sb, the smelting and hot rolling tests of 50W600 were carried out in the laboratory pilot test platform. The microstructure of the hot rolling stage was analyzed by optical microscope (OM), and the macro texture was analyzed by X-ray diffractometer. The results showed that with the increase of Sn and Sb content, the thickness of the surface recrystallization layer increased. When the mass fraction of Sn was 0.068 %, the thickness of the surface recrystallization layer was about 0.12 mm. Both Sn and Sb elements played a fine role in the microstructure of non-oriented silicon steel 50W600 hot rolled plate. At the same time, the cubic texture of {001}〈100〉 increased significantly after the addition of Sn and Sb elements, and the strength of Gauss texture {110}〈001〉 increased with the increase of Sn and Sb elements. The optimal contents of Sn and Sb were 0.068 % and 0.072 % respectively.
