Analysis of Sendzimir mill's main drive rectifier overcurrent problem in steel break braking process

Abstract: A 20 high Sendzimir mill in Silicon Steel Department of Wuhan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. was retrofitted with Hib Technology In 2016.After that the overcurrent fault of the Sendzimir mill's main drive rectifier occasionally happened in the steel break braking process after high speed rolling.  The structure of the mill's main drive system and the control strategy for steel break braking were introduced in this paper. With the principle of energy feedback rectifier, the cause of overcurrent in the braking process was analyzed and solved eventually.
